Hey Everyone!
Parenting is really a very challenging task for anyone. We always want to do our best for our kid being the best parents in this world. We want our kids that they never question our parenting, Isn’t it?
So what we think, does it really happens in our child’s life? The answer is NO.
There is always something that you can’t control. Many things are beyond our limits.
And for some mistakes we did, we start feeling guilty.
For Moms, it started from the first day when the baby is born. We become a different personality and want to do each and everything perfectly.
And when anything we can’t do or do something wrong unknowingly, we start making ourselves guilty that oh I am not a good mother.
It happened to me too when my baby fell off the bed at age of only three months. I was like crying and crying. And you know, I felt so guilty and even today while writing this, I am full of guilt.
There are many things regarding food, many foods are not good for the baby and you just give them a little.
TV is the only way I can make my daughter eat something otherwise I can not make her eat. But this actually is not the right way.
There are many things we do that actually is not a right way to do but we do.
I can say parenting is the very very tough task, don’t make it cruel by feeling guilty inside.
Let it be.
I can relate to what many new moms feel. I didn't have any one to help me when I had my first baby except my husband who doesn't also know what to do. We read and ask friends for help. We survived. You can do it, too.
There is no handbook that comes with babies, and no matter how much we read or hear can never prepare us. I think parenting and children are like snowflakes, there are no two situation that are the same.
Your daughter is a beautiful and happy child. Guilt is an emotional experience that occurs when we believe that we have violated a universal moral standard and bears significant responsibility for that violation. We all go through it and you only want the best for your child. Don't let guilt guide you. Like you said "let it be."
I can relate to this, when I was a first time mom, I always feel guilty, I want to give him the best but I feel I'm not good enough.. So I let my mom do the job..
It took me some to get over that mom guilt, but as time went by I learned to be easy on myself and to just accept that there are things that I cannot control. I love this post, it's a good reminder for parents!
Reading your post helps me to understand Motherhood although I am not yet. Ah maybe in the future I will experience it too.
We practice gentle parenting or attachment parenting and it is really hard and tiring. BUt the rewards of having a happy kid are worth it!
This is such a great post for parents to read. I hope more people get to read it, thanks for sharing!
Such a nice way to help parents who might be feeling guilt for whatever reason. We all have our moments. We do the best we can and hope it all turns out well in the end! š
I can relate because my sister went through this with my niece. People were telling her so many contradictory things. It was nuts. Do what's best for you
Guilt is such a hard feeling when you are a parent. You think that there are so many things you could be doing differently. If the children are happy, let it be. You are so right!
